Ms. Hess will be out on Thursday for a scheduled absence.
Friday is our Multiplication Ice Cream celebration.
Friday CATO will visit with a lesson.
Friday students may distribute Valentines.
Spelling: Sort #20 Singular and plural with -es ending
Monday HW: Spelling sort on their own paper with -sh, -ch, -ss, -x, and -e endings
Tuesday HW: Rainbow worksheet (backside of "Little Words" done in class)
Wednesday HW: Grab Bag worksheet (backside of "How Many" done in class)
Thursday HW: Both sides of Spelling Sort page from their book
Math: We will finish our assessment on word problems with division and multiplication.
We started to learn about fractions beginning with a unit fraction. This means that you have 1 piece of whatever was broken up - ie: 1/4 1/7 1/10 1/2 1/29. Students worked in class out of their workbooks.
Tuesday: Math Facts ****this is different than what is in their agenda.
Wednesday: HW pg 579
Thursday: HW pg 585
Social Studies: We will begin studying FDR - Franklin D. Roosevelt. Students can access his book via the Resources tab and the Houghton link. Their passwords are in their tracker. Other sites will be added to the Social Studies page later.
Ms. Hargrove talked to the students about what they can do for Valentines. Here are the points:
1) They can bring a box or other container from home for their valentines. They do not have to do this, but it will not be done in class. If necessary, they can take their received valentines home in whatever they brought them in(plastic bag, box, etc).
2) A class list was given to all students. Look for it in their binder.
3) We encouraged them to make their own if they wanted.
4) They will distribute them in the morning or earlier in the day on Friday.
