Thank you for your patience with regards to report cards. Ms. Hargrove was out Thursday and Friday of last week. Report cards went home today.
Math: We continue learning about area, that it is in square units and how to draw a picture that represents a specific area.

Spelling: Sort #16.
Monday: Sort sheet made for them and they are to write their words in the sort.
Tuesday: Multiplication Spelling
Wednesday: Area spelling
Thursday: Sort pg 65 and 66.
Reading: We are learning to find main idea and details in order to summarize. We will be reading about habitats and how scientists study animals and use that information for humans.
Monday: Raz Kids - read and quiz
The following home work will be given to them. They will read and answer questions.
Tuesday: "A Giant in the Library"
Wednesday: "Cow Poems"
Thursday: "From Practice to Performance"
Language Arts: Quotation marks will be learned for dialogue.
Social Studies: We will continue learning about Susan B Anthony. The class did a lot of roll playing last week and we watched the School House Rock video on Suffrage. We also saw the Mary Poppins clip that addresses this issue and looked at Susan B Anthony coins.
This week we will work independently reading and answering questions about Ms. Anthony.
Science: We continue learning about the Georgia regions with Swamp and Marsh. Animal adaptations will also be explored.
